Who Are We

The first cat cafe in Singapore was founded on Christmas Day 2013, by Sue and Sam, who wanted to bring cat therapy to their country after many visits to the cat cafes in Japan. Cat Cafe Neko no Niwa chose rescued cats as residents to raise awareness on adopting instead of buying, as well as to show that community cats can be beautiful and affectionate too. 

Neko no Niwa conducts quarterly cat care workshops to encourage cat ownership, empower cat parents with knowledge to take better care of their furbabies and with the end goal to hopefully, reduce abandonment. They also work closely with individual rescuers, fosterers, Cat Welfare Society and SPCA for their fundraising and adoption drives.

Situated in a conservation shophouse by the Singapore River, Neko no Niwa is popular with tourists and locals alike, and has been awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014 - 2019.
